Small hooks fit .5"-.75" spindles. Generally narrow iron & aluminum. 
Large hooks fit 1.25"-1.5" spindles. Standard wood & vinyl.
The larger size works on 1" spindles up to 10 lbs.
We do not accommodate 2” thick spindles yet
